The MIGF Launch

Evonne and I went to the MIGF launch on Monday at the Royal Selangor Club at Dataran Merdeka.

Irene asked me to go the Friday before and I said yes. Then, I forgot all about it until she called on Monday morning to tell me that she'd be passing me some stuff when we meet at the launch. I was like, "Shit! I totally forgot!!" Thank goodness she called.

I asked Evonne to go with me and as usual, we got lost while trying to find the entrance to the club's parking. I had to drive past Titiwangsa to be able to make a u-turn back into the city. And thank goodness I was wearing a quite presentable outfit that day because the media was there and lots of VIPs and VVIPs were there. Most of the men were in suits and ladies in dresses.

It was quite a grand affair. The chefs and some VIPs arrived in 4 helicopters [Wow!!]. Then, we proceeded to the ballroom, where, after the opening speech, we were allowed to dig in at the buffet spread, compliments of Shangri-La. I was starving [didn't have breakfast] so naturally, I ate all I could there :P [I didn't plan to stay for lunch. Wanted to just meet Irene, get the things from her and pass her a CD then ciao back to the office to have lunch with Chriz and all].

The food were very well presented. Some of it, like the lobster, the steak and the dessert, were really good. Yum yum :P I'm so glad Irene asked me to go. Hehe....
