I hurriedly got ready. I was supposed to go to Yaacob's house. I showered, got dressed then rushed to his place. Yaacob was wearing the black baju melayu he bought the night before. I wanted to take a pic of his in that outfit [coz only once a year I'd be able to see him in that] but I forgot to bring my camera out in my hurry :'(
I was really hungry [didn't had anything to eat at all!] so I ate some nasi briyani [very delicious] with chicken [yum yum] and ketupat. After hanging out at the house for a while, we went to Giant to shop for vegetables for the salad I'm supposed to make for Chriz' raya potluck party later. We initially wanted to just make caesar's salad coz we didn't want to trouble his mom and ask her to make her special french dressing for us. But, after running around the whole supermarket, we couldn't find any croutons. So, in the end, we had to trouble his mom and asked her to help make the french dressing for us :P
While we were lining up to pay for our stuff at the cashier counter, a lady approached us and asked if we could help her buy 4 packs of milo. She gave Yaacob a RM50 note then went to line up at the next counter with another 4 packs of milo. Strange... Why does she need to many packs of milo??
When I got back at Yaacob's house, I washed and tore the vegetables into smaller pieces then Yaacob came in and poured everything into the huge wooden salad bowl and announced that he made the salad [?? Just putting all the vegetables into the bowl doesn't mean you made it, okaay??!!!]. We were supposed to pick Elaine up from Mid Valley at 7.30pm so I hurriedly freshened up [I was sweaty after all the salad-making :P]. I sprayed some of my oceanus body spray then dashed out into the hall to go. Yaacob went into his room to get his stuff and he came out with a funny look on his face. It seemed that my oceanus scent in his room was too much for him. He kept making remarks about it [ish!!].
We picked Elaine up from Mid Valley then went to Chriz'. Got lost while trying to find her house [as usual]. Chriz was cooking in the kitchen. She had a girlfriend over who brought her Shih Tsu by the name of Taffy along. Savvy was running all over the place, as energetic as ever, but Taffy just walked around slowly then sat at 1 spot. Guess Shih Tsus are more lazy while Jack Russells are energizer bunnies.
Alan Tsing arrived shortly with his lo mai fan and curry chicken. We were hungry [Matthias walked out to buy some 'pau' then got shouted at by Chriz for doing that] so we ate first while waiting for the rest to show up. Evonne came with her funky looking cupcakes. Chriz bravely took one and bit into it. All of us watched her expression. She looked like a contestant from Fear Factor in the 2nd round trying to eat swallow something funky. Evonne didn't care how her cupcakes tasted. She ordered everybody to eat it. Yaacob took 1. David Man, Matthias and Alan all bagi muka and each ate 1 cupcake. I took one as well. Alan said it was delicious and he gave it 95 out of 100 [he ate 3 of the cupcakes that night]. We were all saying his sorethroat must have altered his tastebuds a bit to be able to say that. I took about 15-20 minutes to finished mine. Yaacob sneakily bit the top and bottom parts of his cupcake then threw the middle part into his bowl and pounded it into crumbs with his chopsticks, mixed it with the leftover pasta in his bowl then covered it with the cupcake paper holder. Uggghhh...
We talked about random things while we ate. Alan shared with us his frustration on what happened on Friday evening at the CK shop in KLCC. He wanted to make a complain about a wallet he bought in July. The wallet's leather is already in bad shape and some of the seams came off. It's only 3 months old. Alan initially went to the CK shop in Pavilion to make a complain during lunch time on Friday. I was supposed to go with him but I forgot and went for my hair cut. Alice was supposed to go with him as well but she went shoe shopping. The sales manager at CK, Pavilion connected him to a manager from Club 21 and she told him he could exchange his wallet with other CK products. He couldn't find anything he liked there so he decided to go to CK, KLCC after work to check whether there would be more choices. But the manager at CK, KLCC were very rude to him. He was so angry that he called the Club 21 manager again and made an appointment to meet her at Pavilion on Thursday to vent out his dissatisfaction on CK, KLCC's manager attitude. Chriz said she will go with him. I told him I'd go this time. He warned me not to forget again then go off to do my nails or something :P
After eating and talking, we watched a DVD about vampires. It was a really old chinese movie. Really funny. When the movie finished, we hung out at the kitchen for a while to chit chat then Yaacob and I went off. Had to rush home to shower and change. We had to go to Velvet later.
