The Silliest Thing

Today the silliest thing happened...

I was in a cab on my way back home from Awana after attending Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong's wake. I thought the cab driver knew where he was going coz I told him the area where I live just to confirm and he nodded. He drove downhill at top speed, we were practically flying down all the way. I was so scared that I held on to the door and closed my eyes. Then, I dozed off...

When I woke up, I found the cabbie driving in an unfamiliar place. I asked him where were we. He said he was taking a short cut to avoid the jam. I was thinking ok, but I never knew of this shortcut before. Then, the cab driver re-confirmed where we were heading and I was shocked!! He thought I live in Cheras!! Shit!! My house is all the way at the other side of town. What the...

We spent the next hour stuck in a jam, driving back to where I REALLY live. Sigh... I was really tired and was hoping to be able to get home early to rest. :'(

Anyways, I went up to Genting today for some training [it's a 2 day thing, today and tomorrow]. The training had to end early coz all of us were required to go to Gohtong Villa to pay our respects to the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong.

We registered at Awana and took the shuttle van to Gohtong Villa. Upon reaching the villa's gate, the van stopped, and a buggy took us the rest of the way. The villa's compound was really huge. Really really huge. I couldn't really see the villa properly coz white tents were erected from the start of the driveway all the way up til the entrance of the villa so the house's entire view was blocked. I could only see the front doors of the villa opening into the main hall. A lot of VVIPs were there. The media, needless to say, were there. Genting employees were helping out with ushering the guests to the tables and serving them refreshments.

I was told not to go into the house to pay my respect first coz our PM was on his way there and we had to wait for him to arrive and get into the house before we could. I waited for a long time, saw his security guards checking the place to make sure it was safe for him to make an appearance, then waited some more before he came. I could only see the back of his head. He was surrounded by the press. Cameras snapping away. The flashes could be seen even at a distance. Gosh... It must be so difficult to be a famous person. Wherever he goes, he would be surrounded by a lot of people and the press would be snapping pictures of him.

I decided I didn't want to wait any longer. My headache was killing me and I was dead tired. I just wanted to go home. I walked alone out to where the shuttle vans were parked and got a nice Mercedes to drive me back to Awana to wait for my cab [the cab which took me for a tour around the city before getting me back home <:(].

Got home and felt really flustered. Headache. Tired. Hungry. Gastric acting up. Sighs....

O well, at least there's something really exciting to look forward to tomorrow. The BEP concert!! I've never ever been to a concert. This would be my first. I totally love Fergie. I'm really excited to be able to see her perform live tomorrow. I read in the papers today that she'll be performing her singles from her album 'The Duchess'. So excited!!! Lalalala.... Big Girls Don't Cry.... Glamorous... London Bridge... Lalalalalala....

Gotta decide what to wear for the BEP concert tomorrow.

Will take lotsa pics tomm : )
