OMG!!
It's Loreal's warehouse sale!! Sharpen your talons, girls!!
Haha...
I was in high spirits when Chriz drove Elaine, Evonne and I to the sale this morning. I gave Chriz a pep-talk on how to be aggressive and pushy during the sale later as it's her first warehouse sale. Told her to let her hair down, just push and grab at stuff unapologetically as it would be expected of us, women, to act all crazy and aggressive during sales like this. Not doing that would result in not so satisfying purchases.
I was told the sale would start at 8am. We reached at 10am. Already I felt like I was losing out to other shoppers [kiasu-ness setting in]. But, when we almost reached the ballroom, this malay makcik was walking out and she told us that the sale would only start at 12pm.
Me: "Don't believe her! She's one of our enemies. She might be saying that to get rid of us. Her daughter might be inside there grabbing up the stuff."
Chriz, Elaine and Evonne stared at me with incredulous faces.
Me: "Seriously!!"
Chriz: [sighed] "Ok."
We walked towards to ballroom and found out that the sale would really start at 12pm.
Drat!!
We waited for 2 hours in San Francisco Coffee [plotted to steal the cute little mug that the place uses to serve coffee in, but tak jadi]. Then, when 11.45am came, off we went... Semangat berkobar-kobar... Claws out...
Me: "Ok Chriz, remember! Just don't care and push your way through ok?!"
Chriz nodded, looking like she didn't really wanna layan me :_(
The moment I walked in, I was attracted by the array of Biotherm products displayed on the tables. I am a loyal Biotherm user. I think I should be paid for promoting the products so much to my friends. I should be appointed the brand's ambassador. Really!! I was really determined to rake through all that were there to find out what I should dump into my shopping bag. I didn't want to miss out on anything that's for sale there.
I made a beeline straight to the first Biotherm table. Pushed my way through the crowd along the line of tables and checked out all the products there and dumped in whatever products I wanted into my bag. Then, I wanted to check out the next line of tables' products but I couldn't even see what was on sale. There were at least 3 rows of people crowding the front of the tables. I heard someone said there were perfumes on sale there. Ok, I thought to myself, I'll check that out later. So, I moved on to the next line of tables. There were lancome cosmetics. But the stuff looked like old stock so it didn't interest me much.
Bumped into June Lai. Looked directly at her, didn't recognise her then looked away. I felt a pinch on my shoulder and she launched into a tirade on me failing to recognise her even within close proximity :P
I walked back to the perfume line and managed to squeeze my way to the front of the table. I had no interest in the Armani perfumes so I tested several Polo Ralph Lauren ones. Don't think the perfumes smell that great. Can smell the alcohol [probably old stock as well, I think]. A pushy fat aunty decided to squish me by squeezing herself vertically in between the crowd. She elbowed and pushed her way through and swept up lots of perfume [kiasu-ness to the max. I think she's a seasoned warehouse-sale-shopper. Very inconsiderate and loud and was able to force her way through a throng of mad shoppers effortlessly]. She pushed me aside as she leaned to her right to gather more perfume. No apology. No excuse me. As if I didn't exist. As if she didn't feel that she was actually pushing someone. Well, fat aunty, I hope all the perfumes you got [by forcing your way through and pushing me] will smell like alcohol!!
Went back to the Biotherm line, found something suitable for Yaacob and chucked it into my bag. Then, I've had enough. I covered the entire place already. Only the Biotherm products were enticing. This sale is not that big. Cheh!!
Walked around to look for Chriz, Elaine and Evonne. Found them at the cashier paying. Cut queue [sorree.. Didn't want to make them wait for me. If I line up, it'll take a long time for my turn to pay :P].
Turned out that I spent just RM10 above budget. Good!! Kekekekeke... Went back to the office hugging my new purchases happily. Got myself a face mask, eye gel and makeup base cum sunscreen spf 25++. Got Yaacob eye cream and moisturiser :D But I think I sprayed too much perfume on myself while testing the various perfumes just now. I feel like a walking perfume shop. Too many smells on me :P
* Note to self: Ok, prep self for Club 21's sale at Starhill tomm!!!
