Doesn't she look lovely??
When the groom arrived, we made them do a lot of things before they were permitted to enter and get the bride. They had to hunt for 5 items within 5 minutes:
- Hair Gel
- 5 cents coins x 5
- Comb
- Lipstick
- Cadbury chocolates
Of coz we prepare all those items in case they couldn't find it. But they did manage to find all items except the chocolates. How they did it? They rang the doorbells of May's neighbors and asked for the items.
After collecting the items, we made one of the guys gel up his hair ala Chow Yun Fatt style in the God of Gamblers movies. Another guy had to have the lipstick applied onto his lips.
Then, we made them send reps to do the following:
- Finish a tub of ice-cream within 1 minute
- Down a can of beer
- Slide ice from one end of the pants to the other
Finally, after making the groom's entourage complete all the tasks and getting our angpau [ka-ching!! $$], we let them in. But each of them had to come in doing the limbo.
Then, May and Eric had the tea ceremony and some other ceremory before they go off to Eric's house. We girls had to follow them to Eric's house for a while as the mak adam said we had to.
After all that, we went home to prepare for the dinner.
We had to help usher the guests in before the wedding dinner start in the evening. Jureen and Nelson helped out with the registration. A lot of my ex-colleagues came. A lot of pic-taking :)
It was a lovely wedding!! Congrats to May & Eric!!
