On Sunday, halfway walking around Bangsar, I had the sudden urge to do my nails. It's the kinda 'die die must do it' kinda feeling.
I was supposed to be getting my Christmas pressies from Yaacob. He took me there so that I could pick whatever I wanted within the budget he set for me. He said I could get anything as long as it's within the budget. Happeee...
I was anticipating this particular shopping day since a week ago. But, when the day finally arrived, I wasn't feeling too well. Woke up extremely late and skipped both breakfast and lunch therefore, my tummy was feeling rather weird. Didn't feel really energetic. Instead, was quite lethargic. Sigh... Of all days, I gotta feel so tired and lousy on my 'shopping day'.
Anyways, didn't really find any clothes that I like. The boutiques there should really buck up on their merchandising tastes. I chose some accessories and a nice lil clutch from Cats Whiskers. Then, I didn't really want anything else. All their stuff didn't look appealing. Same with the other boutiques.
I actually wanted the off-shoulder kinda tops but I'm too tiny. All the nice ones that I could find couldn't fit me. All too big and loose. I really gotta gain some weight. Belts are too big. Pants are too loose. Sigh... What's a girl to do when nothing fits???!!!
Do her nails...
Yaacob and I walked past Somerset Nails at Telawi and I stared at it curiously. How come I didn't notice this big nail shop the many times I was in Bangsar? It was right smack in the middle of Telawi!! Hmmm...
Anyways, Yaacob merely mentioned he wanted to get his nails cut and all and then, it happened!! All of a sudden, I felt like I really must do my nails!!! The urge was crayzeee!!!
I felt quite disappointed coz I couldn't find anything to add on my Christmas pressies list from Yaacob that I really lost the mood to shop and hunt for stuff. Malas to walk around anymore. So, when I stood in front of Somerset Nails, I just wanted to go in there and pamper my tired lil feet. At that moment, all of a sudden, my feet felt really tired and they kinda hurt. Must get them sorted.
Went in the shop but it's fully booked *Pout* Went to Glow Bar, it's closed *Bigger Pout* Went to Color Culture in BV II and it's also fully booked *Giant Pout*. In sheer desperation, I called Suilin to ask whether there are any more nail shops around. She told me there are 2 more at the top most floor in BV II. Found Glitters and it's also fully booked *Super duper POUT*. What the heck??? Can't a girl get her nails done when she really needs it??!! Damnit!!
Yaacob: "All nail shop girls are bitchy, la!"
I stared at him. Hmm... Maybe he felt as desperate as I am to get his nails done. I smiled secretly to myself. My plot of turning him into a 100% metrosexual male is working. I gave him Biotherm face products for Valentine's and told him it's important that he use it. Then, during the Loreal sale, I bought him more. Heheehehe [evil lil laugh]... Now, he's religiously applying the products on his face daily [success!!]. I'm also trying to get him to go for facials with me [he's not really showing any signs of converting into a facial-going guy yet, but I won't give up]. I took him to the nail shop last month and persuaded him to get his nails done. Initially, he stubbornly refused, saying it's for girls only. I ensured him there's nothing sissy about getting his nails done. A lot of guys do it. It's actually a healthy and hygienic practise to get our nails done regularly. After sitting beside me, observing how the manicurist did my nails, he finally announced he wanted to try. And, the rest, is history... Kekekekekeke [snicker]....
As I was about to give up, I spotted a nail shop called Chic Nail Spa tucked away at a corner. I walked wearily towards it, preparing myself for disappointment. As I approached the shop, a petite lady in black smiled at me and asked if she could help me. I looked at her. Quite familiar. Pretty. Hmmm... I thought for a while... OMG! It's Soong Ai Ling!! Wow, I didn't know she opened a nail shop!!
Anyways, I didn't hafta pout anymore coz Ms. Soong welcomed both me and Yaacob into her shop without prior booking :D
Both of us were happy!! I only had a pedicure. Yaacob too!! He even chose a really 'unique' nail color for my toenails. Let's just say, even if I walk in a dark street with no lights, cars can spot me from afar coz of my toenails. It's like super-bling, ok... Don't play play... Hahahahahaa...
So, it turned out to be a happy Sunday for me :) I got what I wanted :D [super big grin!!]
Ooohh yea... Did I mention I finally found the book from Rachel Zoe!! I've been looking for it for a long time and went to many bookstores. Finally, I found it in MPH, BV II. It went into the Christmas pressies list from Yaacob :P Happeeee-nya....
