What Has The World Become???

Really... What has the world become?? With all the reports of murders, thefts, kidnapping, robberies, etc... The world is really not safe to live in anymore. Humans are now threats to each other. Why???

Just last year, the horrible murder of the lil girl Nurin shocked the nation. What kinda sick animal would make a child go through so much pain and suffering?? And til now, the authorities are unable to track down the sick murderer. Then, another kidnapping case happened recently. With Nurin's case as a lesson to all parents to keep their eyes on their kids, one would think that no parent would let their child outta their sight or go anywhere without adult supervision. But... Now we have a missing lil girl who went out to the playground with her 8 year old sister to play. I mean, come on, an 8 year old looking after her lil sister?? She's just a child herself. I dunno what the parents were thinking but I really hope the police will find the lil girl soon. Alive and unharmed.

News of people being shot dead are really shocking!! How could this happen in our country? Nowadays I'm really relunctant to read the newspapers coz it'll just be reporting more nastiness, more tragedies, more awful incidents that happened. I read about the murder of the politician in the lift. Shot at point blank. And the murderer is still walking free at this very moment. I wish the police could brush up on their investigation skills. I begining to feel less confident of my safety and well-being in this country coz our authorities seem as if they are unable to protect us, unable to put those sickos and murders behind bars, unable to give us peace of mind that they can keep the country safe... Sigh...

And let's not forget the kidnapping cases of girls from their office parking lots and at the front of their houses. Those poor girls were taken on horror rides that lasted hours before being released [that's after the kidnappers got the ransom that they demanded. A few thousand ringgit from the girls' families, withdrawn from the ATM machine. Think about this, if they kidnap a girl each day and get a few thousand ringgit, they'd be super rich by now. What are the police doing?? Why are the criminals still scot free???]. Now, I think twice before leaving my house alone and I always always look around me when I am walking alone. Paranoid!! Nowadays, you don't hafta be rich in order to be a kidnap victim. Just as along as you have a few thousand ringgit in the bank, you could be one of the potential victim. Scary, isn't it?

Another crime that just couldn't be curbed is snatch theft. Everyday, at least 10 women will become victims of snatch thieves. Just last Friday, my own cousin became one of the statistics. She was walking along the road in PJ when a bike stopped right beside her. The pillion rider ran to her and tried to snatch her bag. She resisted and the thief started kicking her and hitting her with his helmet. She saw a knife hidden in his trouser pocket, luckily he didn't use it on her. My cousin stubbornly held on tightly to her bag and the thief continued to bash her up with his helmet until a couple from a shop at the opposite side of the road dashed out to help her. Upon seeing the couple, the thief jumped on the bike and it sped off. My cousin suffered bruises all over her body, even on her head. She had to be admitted to the hospital overnight for doctors to be sure she is ok, especially her head. I am glad she wasn't seriously injured. I know in some cases, the victims fell head first on the ground and suffered major head injuries, leading to death. Some are pregnant women. I really wonder what the thieves were thinking when they decided to attack harmless women. Do they feel good about themselves after snatching the bags? What's a few hundred ringgit when they caused the death of a person? Can they sleep well at night? Why would they want to harm pregnant ladies? Do they feel remorse? Well, I hope that ALL those nasty snatch thieves out there who wouldn't think twice about harming innocent women will get what they deserve for all the crimes they had committed. I hope they have nightmares. I hope they never feel warmth, never get love, never get happiness and I hope they lead really wretched horried lives!!! Gosh, I'm just so angry thinking about this!! Especially about those pregnant women who lost their babies/ their lives... Grrrr...

I wish and hope that all these crimes will end soon. I hope that all the nasty criminals will be caught and put away soon, so that they can't do anymore harm... I wish and hope that very very soon, all females, all children, basically everybody, will be able to walk outta their house feeling secured and knowing that they will be safe from danger. I really do..
