These are pics of YY's and my legs. We went to try out the Kenko Fish Spa @ Pavilion a few months ago out of curiosity on what the whole hoo-haa about these tiny fishies feeding at our dead skin is all about. Sorry about the pic quality, I didn't bring my camera. Took it with my antique phone :PAnyways, the experience was quite fun. First, we gotta pay to enter. We were told we couldn't submerge our feet into the water for more than 35 minutes [still dunno why]. Then, we were told to wash our feet and were given towels to dry them [I have to say the area where we store our shoes and wash our feet were a wee bit smelly]. Then, we were free to dip our legs into whichever area we wanted to.
YY suggested we sit at a corner of the place as there were no people there. BIG mistake!! The moment we put our legs into the water, we knew why that area was empty. The fishes were BIG and they attacked us like hungry piranhas!! We squealed and screams as the fishes bit at us quite viciously. When we lifted our legs, we could see them gathered at the surface of the water, trying to get bites of us. Arrgghhh...
YY then looked around and discovered the fishes in the middle section were smaller. So we quickly got up and went there. The sensation of the fishes nibbling at my feet were initially ticklish. Then, it felt a tiny bit painful. Felt like being electrocuted. I couldn't tahan the ticklish feeling and lifted my feet occasionally. Kesian YY, the fishes went at her feet as if it were the biggest, more delicious feast in their fishy lives. So many of them crowded at her feet. Mine only had a few nibbling here and there.
Overall quite an interesting experience. Will go there again when I have time. I heard now fish spas are mushrooming everywhere and you can submerge your entire body in the water. Wonder how that'll feel like...
