The Attack of the Falsies!!! Arrgghhh...

I can't help noticing a growing tend among KL girls.

FALSIES!!
Dunno why nowadays, girls are wearing falsies wherever they go. Whether its to work, shopping, dinner, partying, just jalan-jalan, everywhere I look, I will see girls having fake lashes on.

It makes me wonder... Is it necessary to put on falsies each and everytime they're out? No matter what the occasion is? Don't they feel it's such a hassle to glue on the lashes and when they get home, remove it? Not to mention the cost. How many times can you recycle the lashes? Max 5 times? That's if you're extra careful. Hmmm... So why are girls troubling themselves with this routine?

Yes, it makes your eyes seem larger and makes you look more doll-like, but, to put them on EACH TIME you go out? Even just for shopping or drinks or dinner with friends?

I really don't get it.

I mean, I've seen a lot of girls in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan don falsies in the streets and I do think it's weird for them to do so but now, this phenomenon is attacking my own country!! Furthermore, I've noticed the falsies used are really 'FALSE'. As in, they really look super fake. So obvious it is fake. Like bits of hair stuck to the eye lids. Why can't those girls buy natural looking falsies so at least when they put them on, it'll look more natural and people can't tell at first glance from a distance that they're wearing false lashes?

Call me old fashioned or whatsoever, but I still prefer to use good 'ol mascaras. There are really good ones in the market nowadays. Those that have fibre and lengthen and volumize lashes are my fav. Waterproof, non-smudging and totally easy to remove. Don't need oil-based eye makeup remover to remove 'em. Just tepid water will do. The fibre will slide right off the lashes. Does wonders for the eyes and still I can protect my eyes without the constant rubbing to remove stubborn mascara. I love these mascaras:
Even has small ones for lower lashes...
Loreal's latest wonder mascara...

I'm not a stage performer, show hostess, dancer, etc, so there is no need for falsies for me. I only use falsies when I attend wedding dinners or special events, and even then, I chose to go with the most natural looking ones that I can find. Not keen to tell the whole world that there's something fake on my eyes.
