It's about a Playboy Bunny, Shelley, who got kicked out of the mansion and somehow managed to get herself a job as a house mother at the Zeta sorority house aka loser house. The girls in this house are social rejects and they are going to lose their house unless they get 30 pledges. Shelley steps in to try her best to help the girls save their house.
She teaches them how to talk to boys, how to dress up and look good and how to throw fantastic parties to up their popularity.
In the end, the girls managed to get the 30 pledges, thanks to an overhaul of their looks, self-esteem and confidence. They got popular, boys and lots of new friends.
It's a feel good movie. And, personally, to me, it's really a movie for girls. This makes me feel it's really important to have a close group of girl friends, who'll always stick together no matter what and be there for each other no matter what. It's empowering to belonging to a group of friends who will support you and who makes you feel nothing is impossible, you can achieve anything. Well, at least, from this movie, it seems that way. It's also fun to hang out with the girls, having girly talks, doing girly things, having a blast. This makes me realise I really have to put in more effort to spend quality time with my girl friends. Not take them for granted and always push them aside for other things. I miss school days when my group of girl friends would practise softball together, then have lunch together and hang out at each other's houses. We'd lie on the field, under the sun and blue blue sky, just to hang out and talk and braid each other's hair. We're storm into the supermarket all dirty and stinky after a game of softball to get clean towels and clothes to shower. Those were the good old days. When we were not introduced to the adult world with all it's politics, jealousy, competition, etc. How I wish I can go back in time and savor those moments again. I'd be more likely to appreciate it coz I know how our lives are right now.
Well, I know for sure I can turn back time. So, the next best thing to do is to appreciate the people around me now. Appreciate the girls in my life and make the most out of our friendships. Have more initiative to call them, talk to them, catch up on their lives and take an interest in what they're doing, meet up, hang out, etc.
I WILL make an effort to do that!!!
