The hotel was decent. Rooms are clean and quite spacious. But wifi was lousy...
We fooled around in VM's room after dinner, while waiting for setup time...
Setup at midnight. Heard people singing in the distance but can't see anyone. Freaky...
We were at the site bright and early the next day. It's gonna be a long long day. As I walked to our booth, loud music was blaring from the cars on display at the parking lot. Urgh... Don't tell me this is gonna go on for the whole day, I thought to myself in annoyance. And it did went on the whole day -_- My poor eardrums...Helped set up the buntings and our booth...
Since we couldn't speak Mandarin, which was the main language in JB, our jobs were reduced to passing out balloons to kids...
Inside the hall, other sponsors and vendors were displayin their goods. Shows were on-going on the stage...
There were mini miners and vintage cars on display. How can I not snap some pics?!!
After that, we go busy giving out leaflets. Anyhow, we made some time to snap some memories...
JY failed kuat-kuat at posing. We gave her some pointers...
The official launch of the event was at 1pm. There was a lion dance, then some speeches followed by the ribbon cutting. I missed all of that!
Why? Coz I was busy backstage and at the sound room organizing our dancers' performance. These bunch of Russian dancers came straight from GHR. Their bodies were amazing. So toned and curvy. And they're definitely not shy. Changed their costumes at the backstage in public for all to see. They were just in their g-strings and bras. But then again, with bodies like theirs, why should they be shy??
Needless to say, our performance were the most applauded one. It really blew the audience away.
After a while, it was time to pack up. The day came to an end at about 5pm.
All of us were dead tired. I fell sleep in the van on the way back to the hotel.Had dinner at a nearby restaurant. The fish was superb!! Then, went for foot massage to relax before heading back to the hotel to drink. Alan was super afraid of massages for some unknown reason. He looked terrified, like he's gonna be eaten or something. Hmmm... The boy has issues, man...
Although tiring, it was fun and I got to know my colleagues from other departments better. They're a really sporting bunch. And very funny. 1st roadshow done, 9 more to go...
Sigh... Just thinking about it makes me feel exhausted :(
